Stemmer: Orlando Pirates should sign Nwabali.
Thabang Stemmer, a former goalkeeper for the Orlando Pirates, has identified the advantages Stanley Nwabali would offer the Sea Robbers if they acquire him this summer.
One team allegedly interested in signing the goalie is Pirates.
This season, Nwabali attracted a lot of attention, especially because of his outstanding performances at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
The teams fighting for his signing include Kaizer Chiefs, Queen Park Rangers, El-Ettifaq, and Saudi clubs.
Due to contract expiration, Pirates recently released goalkeepers Richard Ofori and Siyabonga Mpontshane.
Should Nwabali join the Buccaneers, Stemmer thinks he would provide the goalkeeping position greater depth.
Stemmer told Kickoff, “I believe the Pirates released the two because they want to get even with Stanley Nwabali.”
“Primitives always stacked their goalie roster with elite players, even during my playing days.” Premier League teams require elite goalkeepers.
“Remember that in every competition, Pirates go deeper. For the Pirates, it would be advantageous if Nwabali arrived. We require rivalry.
