Just days ahead of the 2024 WNBA season opener for the Indiana Fever, rookie standout Caitlin Clark showed her support for another Indiana team at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.

In Indianapolis, Clark was spotted cheering on Tyrese Haliburton’s three-pointer for the Indiana Pacers during Game 3 of the conference semifinals against the New York Knicks last Friday.’

Haliburton’s three-pointer was his fifth in the first two quarters and his second consecutive successful shot. By halftime, he had accumulated 23 points.

With the Pacers trailing 2-0 in the series against the Knicks, they are aiming to reverse their fortunes as they play in Indianapolis.

This postseason, Caitlin Clark has shown her support for the Pacers before. She was present to witness Tyrese Haliburton’s game-winning overtime shot against the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 3 of the Pacers’ first-round series.

It seems that Haliburton, who played at Iowa State from 2018 to 2020, and Clark, who set the all-time college basketball scoring record at Iowa last season, are putting aside their college rivalries as Clark embarks on her debut professional season in Indiana.

Clark is scheduled to play her first regular-season WNBA game on the road against the Connecticut Sun on Tuesday before returning to Gainbridge Fieldhouse on Thursday for her Fever home debut.
