Leighton Vander Esch, a linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys and a rival of the Green Bay Packers, stated earlier today that he has chosen to retire.
Throughout his career, Vander-Esch has battled neck problems; in 2023, he experienced another one.

“We’re proud that he wore the star on his helmet,” stated Jerry Jones, the owner.
During his six seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, Vander-Esch appeared in seventy-two games, totaling 469 tackles, 3.5 sacks, three forced fumbles, and three interceptions. Against the Packers, he recorded eight tackles and eight assists.
