TUSCALOOSA, Alabama: Significant changes follow a new coach, one of which will benefit both the media and the supporters. On Wednesday afternoon, the local media was granted access to Alabama football on-campus practice for the first time since 2021.

It was the first chance to get a firsthand look at the new faces, new jersey changes for the Crimson Tide, and how Kalen DeBoer and his team operate the show.

Alabama’s second spring practice took place on a lovely March afternoon with temps in the mid 70s and partly sunny skies. The team was practicing in helmets and shorts, and the atmosphere was electric with music.

In light of the fact that the watching session was restricted to positional and individual drills only, the following practice notes and observations are from various position groups.

Quarterbacks: Washington transfer Austin Mack, redshirt freshman Dylan Longergan, redshirt sophomore Ty Simpson, and rThere was a moment when DeBoer was closely monitoring the quarterbacks.
Nick Sheridan, the quarterbacks coach and offensive coordinator, was with the group the entire time.

eturning starter Jalen Milroe were Offensive line: This is a position group to keep an eye on because Alabama will be starting both starting tackles and the starting center from the previous season. DeBoer brought in Parker Brailsford, his starting center from Washington the previous year, through the transfer portal. But the redshirt junior James Brockermeyer was the one getting the most reps with the ones. Wilkin Formby, Tyler Booker, Brockermeyer, Jaeden Roberts, and Elijah Pritchett made comprised the first group offensive line, going left to right. The offensive line for the second team consisted of Miles McVay, Roq Montgomery, Brailsford, Olaus Alinen, and Naquil Bertrand, arranged from left to right.
