Against South Carolina, the Tigers scored 100 points thanks to the brother of Auburn great.

On Wednesday night, Auburn played home to the #11 South Carolina Gamecocks and easily defeated them, winning 101-6
Basketball players from South Carolina are unique in that they play slowly and use up the whole shot clock on nearly every play. Auburn appeared to have the ideal strategy in place to defeat the Gamecocks. Naturally, making 12–20 shots from three will help you win, but Auburn was prepared for this match. There were concerns that Auburn could overlook this match because College GameDay will be in the city on Saturday when they play Kentucky, but that didn’t happen.

Though they couldn’t defeat Auburn at Neville Arena, South Carolina defeated Tennessee at Knoxville, demonstrating their ability to defeat strong teams away from home.

A team’s objective is usually to score 100 points, and the Tigers succeeded in doing so versus South Carolina. Shortly after the walk-ons entered the game, Jalen Harper, the brother of former Auburn standout point guard Jared Harper, scored the jumper that put Auburn ahead 101 points. It was wonderful for The Jungle to watch the brother of an all-time great at Auburn sink the shot to give Auburn this total because scoring 101 points obviously meant a lot to this team and the supporters.
Regarding the game plan his son Steven created for the Gamecocks, coach Bruce Pearl said, “I thought Steven Pearl did an amazing job in the scout, he had us really ready to go” remarked Pearl.

“We blitzed them a little bit in the ball screens, we did some things about ball pressure that bothered them, and we weren’t afraid to switch.”
One of the best home court experiences in collegiate basketball is Neville Arena, where the Auburn Tigers are difficult to defeat.
