Boss of Northern Ireland swoons over Rangers player who may be an inspiration to Ibrox

Young Rangers winger Ross McCausland has been called an Ibrox inspiration by Northern Ireland boss Michael O’Neill.

After spending a few years in the club’s Academy, the youthful winger for the Gers, 22, is having an incredible season for Rangers off the right side.

The young Northern Irishman, who came to Rangers from Linfield, is well-liked back home and made his debut for Northern Ireland earlier in the season.

Ross McCausland is praised by Michael O’Neill.
Ross McCausland, who broke into the Rangers first squad a few months ago, has reportedly matured quickly in the last few months, according to Michael O’Neill.

The former Stoke City manager further asserts that the Ibrox boss’s faith in the young player’s abilities is demonstrated by Philippe Clement’s insistence on selecting him, who has already made 23 appearances for the team this season.

O’Neill remarked, “Ross has done extremely well.” “He has maintained his position at Rangers despite intense competition due to their excellent form.”

“Under the new manager Philippe Clement, they have gained a lot of points and results. It is obvious that he likes Ross because he plays him in nearly every game.

The fact that he frequently plays him for 90 minutes is also advantageous, as this is not always the case for a wide player.

“Over the past two to three months, I believe Ross has made significant progress, and I hope he can carry that form and consistency to the international arena.

“I believe that Ross, being a young player, deserves a chance. It seems that he would not have that chance with the Rangers.

Then, somewhat unexpectedly, Steven Davis assisted him in that regard during his two games as an acting manager.

“After that, Philippe Clement kept Ross on the team, giving him a breakthrough.”

“Whether playing for a club or representing their country, every young player needs a break, and I think Ross is a great example to many of our young players because he grabbed it with both hands.”
