Payton Thorne, the lone quarterback for Auburn: “If I didn’t feel better, I wouldn’t be telling you the truth.”

This week, Auburn is aiming for its third straight victory. What was said by quarterback Payton Thorne before the game?

The starting job has fully returned to Payton Thorne’s control. This offseason, the Naperville, Illinois, junior, left Michigan State to move to Auburn, where he was appointed starting quarterback in August.

This season, Thorne faced several challenges, but it seems like he’s conquered them. This season, he is 117-183 for 1,269 yards and 10 touchdowns.

Against Vanderbilt, Thorne threw an interception that was recovered for a touchdown. He said that he would not repeat the mistakes that occurred throughout the play.
“I just didn’t see him,” Thorne remarked. “I should have looked out there pre-snap, I knew what the coverage was pre-snap but I was looking more down the middle of the field.”

This season, things haven’t always gone as planned, but the Tigers now appear to be more confident. Thorne went into further detail about the advantages of confidence for a group.”I’d be lying to you if I said I didn’t feel better,” Thorne replied. It’s a familiar experience for me. That’s how things have been for me over the past few years.”

The success Auburn has this season will be greatly influenced by Thorne’s performance.
