After leaving Nottingham Forest, Jesse Lingard has finally signed a contract with a new team.
After spending just one season at the City Ground, Lingard was released by the Reds at the end of the previous season and joined FC Seoul of South Korea. He is said to have agreed to a two-year contract with the K-League team, with an additional year’s option.
Additionally, he stated in a YouTube video: “I’ve always wanted to take on new challenges and make new memories in my profession. I think the best location for that is South Korea.”
Prior to opting to relocate to Seoul, Lingard claimed to have received “many offers”. He has also given an explanation for this unexpected choice.
At a press conference, Lingard stated, “FC Seoul showed me great passion, sending me a concrete offer on paper while other clubs were contacting me verbally.” “They also traveled to Manchester in order to assess my physical state.”
