Through his agent, Salah had already contributed what was called a “significant” unreported sum to the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, a humanitarian organisation that aids the Gaza population.
Salah described the conditions at the hospital as “horrifying” and urged leaders to unite in order to “prevent the further slaughter of innocent souls” in a video statement shared on social media on Wednesday night.
