With today’s post, I wanted to speak to all college football fans, regardless of the team they support. Whether you support the Miami Hurricanes or not, this subject has been all over the media lately.

Throughout my life, I have been an avid supporter of almost every major college football programme and have covered a number of them for the media. Given this, there are several humorous aspects to the present Michigan Wolverines sign-stealing situation.

First of all, there are a tonne of cheaters in college football. For starters, it’s a joke straight out of recruiting. Prospects who sign a letter of intent typically receive a cool $100,000. This has been the norm for many years. But since we’re discussing sign-stealing today, let’s get started.

I think Jim Harbaugh ought to be suspended “if” he was aware that Michigan was employing any kind of advanced scouting, including sign theft. That’s calculating and deceptive. There is another aspect to this as well, which is connected to the initial recruiting point.

Is it really the case that Harbaugh or any member of the Wolverines staff would be the lone person doing this? Don’t behave as though this is an isolated incident.

Football in college is filthy. quite unclean. Whatever you think of Harbaugh and Michigan, when your school does an illegal act—which is almost a given—sit there and accept at. Not even a whisper.

It’s true that some find Harbaugh’s direct and gruff demeanour offensive. That has always been fair, and it is so now. That does not absolve supporters of other schools of responsibility for grieving over issues such as coaching sanctions or the University of Michigan’s exclusion from the playoffs.

However, people tend to go with their preferences rather than the truth. That has always been the case for me. That’s for certain. Simply said, Harbaugh is by no means the only person doing this—at least not at Michigan, according to rumours. That remains the main point I intended to make. One last thing.

It has come to light that the NCAA is as wide and straight as a winding road. It’s anyone’s guess as to what it will do to Harbaugh or the Michigan football programme. While some supporters will be relieved, others will keep griping about Michigan’s cheating. I’m just chuckling since it’s normal for those of us in the recruitment media to hear about cheating incidents on a weekly basis.
