Napoli, the dominant team in Serie A, is trying to bolster their midfield options this month after having a difficult first half to the season.

Napoli is thinking of signing Pierre Emile-Hojbjerg, a talented midfielder for Tottenham, during the winter transfer window.

More options are coming up on Napoli’s radar as they continue to monitor the player market.

Corriere dello Sport, an Italian sports daily, reports (via Tutto Napoli) that Fornals is another player Napoli is considering this month.

With six months remaining on his West Ham contract, the midfield player is expected to go on a free transfer at the end of the current campaign, with interest from Spanish teams.

Napoli is monitoring him closely and trying to find out if West Ham is willing to let him move in January.

With just two Premier League starts this season, Fornals has been a bit part player for West Ham.

Unless West Ham choose to extend the midfielder’s contract, January will probably be their only opportunity to receive a money from his departure.
