Prior to his team’s Sunday game against the Miami Dolphins, pass rusher Micah Parsons of the Dallas Cowboys made some thought-provoking remarks.
The 10-4 Dolphins and the 10-4 Cowboys will play at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Parsons was questioned concerning the difficulty of containing Tyreek Hill, the wide receiver for the Dolphins. The Cowboys star complimented Hill, but not before asserting that he had a longer fast than the “cheetah,” a 29-year-old wide receiver.
Parsons remarked, “Tyreek is aware that I am faster than him.” “I know I have to go faster than I have all year, so preparing to face someone like Tyreek Hill is not enjoyable at all. I could go at a hundred miles per hour if I were to pursue him.
Parsons provides evidence to support his hot opinion. In the NFL’s Fastest Man Race at the Pro Bowl two seasons ago, the Cowboys star easily defeated Hill and a number of other speedsters (see the video here).
There has long been a friendly rivalry between Hill and Parsons. The Dolphins star warned Parsons back in September even though their game wasn’t scheduled until Christmas Day. When Hill’s two teams did play, he said he had “a present” ready for Parsons.
The true winners might be football fans who get to witness the Dolphins-Cowboys game for Christmas, since sparks are already flying between the two.
In the upcoming years, the NFL plans to add additional overseas games, which may force more teams to play away from home and forfeit games. Jerry Jones would prefer that the Dallas Cowboys avoid having to do that.
Given the Cowboys’ great fan base and excellent attendance, the owner stated he would be “reluctant” to forfeit a home game in order to play abroad. But if the Cowboys were to travel overseas, he would be fine with one particular place.
“I would like to be in Mexico City while we are not performing here. According to Nick Harris of the team’s official website, Jones stated, “Period.” “Mexico City is convenient and good. Should I travel abroad,
