Raiders star Josh Jacobs in line to return from injury vs. Chiefs

There isn’t much left for the Las Vegas Raiders to play for the remainder of the season because they are unlikely to make the playoffs. They’ll still try to win games, and it looks like they’ll have Josh Jacobs back in the starting lineup for their Week 16 matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Vic Tafur reports that Antonio Pierce, the head coach of the Raiders, that he would wager that Jacobs and tackle Kolton Miller play on Monday. Miller has started every game he has participated in thus far, although he has missed four of the previous five.

In Week 15, the Raiders easily defeated the Los Angeles Chargers, winning 63-21, even without both of them. Breaking a three-game losing run, Las Vegas scored the most points in a game in franchise history.

Jacobs is eager to return to the field and attempt to have a memorable final game of the season. After the season, he will become a free agent, so if the Raiders decide not to re-sign him, he will want to make a strong impression on the other NFL teams.

Although Jacobs has performed admirably this year, his 2022 statistics aren’t as impressive as they were when he dominated the league in rushing. Prior toRaiders Kolton Miller ruled out for Jets game | Raiders News | Sports missing Week 15, he had been playing well in his previous five games. He averaged little less than 80 rushing yards per game while rushing for 397 yards and three touchdowns in the five games.

Josh Jacobs is 195 yards short of reaching 1,000 yards for the season, but he will never reach his league-high rushing total from the previous campaign. This season would mark Jacobs’ fourth of that kind, solidifying his status as a Raiders legend.

Raiders fans will at least get to see Josh Jacobs play a few more times before he perhaps leaves this offseason, even though playoff football doesn’t seem to be in the cards this season.
