
Cincinnati Loses Commitment From Three-Star Offensive Lineman Jayce Mitchell
CINCINNATI — Cincinnati football used the transfer portal this weekend to secure a second defensive back pledge. Ormanie Arnold, an Idaho cornerback with three remaining years of eligibility, committed to Cincinnati.
With 33 tackles, five pass breakups, and two interceptions in 2023, Arnold had a strong performance.
It resulted in a 73.4 rating in coverage and a 73.8 PFF grade over 673 snaps. at 5-foot-8 and 150 pounds, he played outside cornerback most of the time.

Mitchell is the 134th-ranked interior offensive lineman and the 1,530th-ranked player in the country, according to On3.
Schools like Georgia Tech and Cal made offers to him. In this class, Mitchell was the first recruit from Louisiana to commit to Cincinnati. He accepted UC’s February offer, and the school currently has 21 pledges for the 2024 class.
