Swindon Town, plagued by injuries, is ‘good enough’ to win holiday matches.

According to Liam Kinsella, Swindon Town’s limited roster may provide challenges throughout the holiday season due to the sheer volume of games they will be playing.

Swindon will play four games in ten days, starting with a match against Tranmere Rovers on Saturday and Crawley Town on New Year’s Day. This will be a crucial time for the team as they aim to stay in touch with the play-off spots.

Swindon’s lack of depth in the squad has been a problem all season, but it has been made worse by the eight first-team players who are currently sidelined due to injuries. As a result, during their 3-0 loss to Barrow AFC, they were forced to start six outfield players who had only made 39 career appearances between them.

According to Kinsella, the team is aware of how challenging this time will be for them because there are now few choices available to allow players to take breaks.

“I guess that when you have these injuries you know you are going to play, you just have to go out there and give it your all,” he remarked. “As a player you want to play as many games as possible.”

We may not be able to make as many substitutions as we would want because of our young bench.

“The Christmas break will be difficult, but the starting eleven is capable of winning the games.

“Having only 12 players fit, or however many there are, is a difficult situation to be in. Hopefully, the boys will be returning from injury soon.” Feel the wood.

“We simply need to put in a lot of effort, grind out outcomes, and attempt to revert to the formula we used at the beginning of the season.”

The injury issue for Swindon worsened ahead of their visit from Barrow, as Tyrese Shade and Frazer Blake-Tracy were left off the team.

“Tyrese is sick, so he will be okay for next week,” Michael Flynn stated. “He saw the doctor today, and Blake [-Tracy] is injured.”

“Blake-Tracy is suffering from a hamstring strain. The duration is something I would like not to discuss, but it will probably last two to four weeks.

Regarding if he would have used the same strategy if there had been more players available, We are at a point where injuries are having an impact.
