ANN ARBOUR, MI – Bowling Green linebacker Demetrius Hardamon is in stable condition and cleared to walk, a day after an orthopaedic injury forced him to be carted off the pitch at Michigan Stadium on a backboard and a stretcher.
On Sunday, the school issued an update, expressing hope that Hardamon will be released from the hospital soon.
In the third quarter of No. 2 Michigan’s 31-6 victory, Hardamon was injured while tackling tight end Colston Loveland.
“I saw the hit and I knew right then and there, there was something wrong,” Falcons coach Scot Loeffler said Saturday night.
Hardamon, who is from Beavercreek, Ohio, had three tackles against the Wolverines and had at least 25 tackles in each of the previous two seasons. He has earned academic honors from the Mid-American Conference twice.
Coming back from down 18 points to take the lead at one point in the third quarter, the Golden State Warriors did not have enough left in the tank near the end of Game 3 to take care of the Boston Celtics, losing 116-100 and now trailing Boston 2-1 in the NBA Finals.
To make matters worse for Golden State, Stephen Curry appeared to suffer some kind of a lower left leg injury during a play in the fourth quarter that resulted in multiple bodies hitting the floor for a loose ball.
Curry got caught up under Celtics’ big man Al Horford in the scuffle for the loose ball and was left screaming at the bottom of the pile in pain.
