Updates on Ravens practice: Lamar Jackson was absent from practice on Thursday.
We speculate that it’s illness

Lamar Jackson, the quarterback for the Ravens, was conspicuously absent from practice on Thursday. Wide receiver Rashod Bateman was the only player absent on Thursday, having missed only one game on Wednesday due to illness. This is due to both the fact that he is the team’s most well-known player and that he is not on the pitch.

Jackson’s absence is most likely the result of illness. After practice yesterday, he was not listed on the injury report with any designation. At this point, it’s assumed that Jackson has a history of illness during this team season. But, missing practice with a young team in the midst of the season and in inclement weather is not ideal, particularly considering that this offence has struggled with ball security the entire time.

More information will be provided by the podium today or when the injury report is made public at roughly 6:30 p.m. ET. It should be noted that Head Coach John Harbaugh is not expected to speak, so it will be up to our offensive coordinator, Todd Monken, to explain why Jackson is not present.
