Owner of the Sea Eagles Scott Penn first acknowledged that his team’s 2023 season was below average before he made a daring statement about Anthony Seibold’s preseason itinerary.
After winning 11 games in Seibold’s first season as manager of the Brookvale-based team, Manly finished the previous season in 12th place.
In the Sea Eagles’ preseason documentary “The Manly Way,” Penn was seen speaking to the playing team and said he had never seen a better programme put out by club personnel.
Penn remarked, “We all felt like we left a little on the pitch last year, so we are all excited to be back.”
The structure, which makes things easier to understand, is what’s really important. Seibs (Seibold) has guided me through a lot of the pre-season planning.
“Everyone has a very clear accountability, which is why I’ve been doing this for the past 20 years or so.
“This is the best structure I’ve seen, but I really want you to know that it’s up to you guys now. It’s the best we’ve ever had at the club.”
This is about the future, and we want to demonstrate to people our values in order to win people over.
In the vision, Luke Brooks and Jaxson Paulo, two recent additions, were also seen being tested in advance of the 2024 campaign.Josh Schuster will probably move to the backrow upon Brooks’ arrival, partnering Daly Cherry-Evans in the half.
THE CHEEKY DIG OF BRONCOS RECRUIT
Fletcher Baker, a recent addition to the Broncos, has discussed his decision to leave the Roosters ahead of a game against his old team in Las Vegas.
After appearing in 46 games for the Tricolours, the 23-year-old is the only player signed by Brisbane ahead of the 2024 campaign.
With Tom Flegler and Keenan Palasia leaving for the Dolphins and Titans, respectively, Baker has a lot of shoes to fill in the middle forward position.
Additionally, he signed before the Broncos’ incredible run and witnessed Kevin Walters’ team come agonisingly close to winning the Premiership trophy.
“I guess I dealt the cards right?” Baker made light of reporters.
The Roosters were struggling at the beginning of the season, but Trent Robinson, the team’s coach, drastically improved things. These boys also took the same action.
In the finals, the Broncos’ matchup with Melbourne was excellent football. Their ad lib football skills and completion percentage are impressive.
“I believe I moved from a good club to a better one.
I retract my statement that the Broncos are superior to the Roosters. They both make excellent teams.
