Everton reportedly faces a points deduction in their relegation battle — Liverpool fans react
According to the Daily Mail, Everton face points deduction because they lost more than £260 million between 2017 and 2020, £155 million more than they were allowed to.
Their financial problems have been exacerbated by the club’s decision to cut ties with Russian oligarch Alisher Usmanov, who had been one of their main sponsors in recent years.
Everton are also only one point above the drop zone. It means that if the Premier League deducts points this season, they will be relegated from the top flight for the first time since the 1954-55 season.
Obviously, Liverpool fans couldn’t pass up an opportunity to respond to their city rivals’ plight.

“I want them relegated and us to win the title/CL in the same season,” says abradley19955. Unlikely? Sure, but it won’t stop me from wishing.”
“They kick the f**k out of us every time we play now, I want our players intact,” says Triforcesarecool. After what they did to Virgil and Thiago, I hope they rot in the championship.”
Belfast, Liverpool: “F**k Pickford, I can’t wait to see his stupid gurny face when he goes down.”
“Everton fans are genuinely the most delusional in the Premier League, prove me wrong.” I’d like to see them relegated, and I’d even like to see them become the next Sunderland.”
OurRadicalDreamers: “I am absolutely f**king sick of them; even though I am from Liverpool, the derby no longer feels the same to me.” Getting them gone would give them a reality check; they believe they are owed everything when they haven’t won anything in over a quarter-century. FC Entitlement.”
: “My ideal scenario is for the blue noses to go down and spend at least two years in the Championship while Tranmere get promoted and then they can boot fuck out of the Everton players in the ‘derby'”
