Ipswich Town manager says ‘big club’ ahead of Coventry City test as home secret is revealed
Coventry City oppisition news from CoventryLive as we look at what Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna has said ahead of Saturday’s game.

Kieran McKenna, manager of Ipswich Town, believes his team’s “big club” mentality is the key to their early season success in Suffolk. The Tractor Boys’ 3-1 home victory over Millwall on Wednesday night made it eight wins out of nine since promotion to the Championship, closing the gap on league leaders Leicester City to one point.

McKenna has an impressive overall home league record in charge: P43 W31 D9 L3 F104 A33. The Blues manager told the East Anglian Daily Times ahead of tomorrow’s visit by Coventry City: “Our intent doesn’t sway wildly home or away.” We strive to be an aggressive, attacking team at all times.

“Whether we win, lose, or draw, supporters know there will always be maximum effort, attacking intent, a real intent to play in a brave style, to try and play as a big club, to make it an exciting place to play football, and that the players will go to the very last minute.” Those are the things we’ve tried to ensure, and the supporters have backed us up.”
