This season, Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley has struggled to perform at his usual level.
The Baltimore Ravens, led by star quarterback Lamar Jackson, are poised to make a deep run this season, but they will need offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley to be at his best to give them the best chance at a Super Bowl.

“He needs to get stronger and get his technique right,” Harbaugh said, according to Jeff Zrebiec of The Athletic. “He needs to get back into practice and keep growing.” He’s a fantastic player. We want to get him back to that level of play.”

Stanley has spent eight seasons with the Ravens after being selected with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft out of Notre Dame. He’s had an up-and-down career, demonstrating at times that he can be one of the best tacklers in the world while also struggling to keep that level of performance.

He was recognized as one of the best tackles in the NFL in 2019, making First Team All-Pro and the Pro Bowl for the first time in his career. Since then, he has yet to return to the Pro Bowl or be named to an All-Pro team.

This season, Stanley has dealt with two knee injuries, which have hampered his ability to perform at a high level on the field. Baltimore is hoping that the bye week will allow Stanley and others to rest and recover before the season’s final stretch of games.
