Tottenham Hotspur’s predicted XI vs. Aston Villa… Ange Postecoglou makes three significant moves, and a £27 million man gets a big chance.

With the Premier League returning soon, Ange Postecoglou will have to make some key decisions when Tottenham Hotspur host Aston Villa.

Tottenham have suffered back-to-back defeats following an extremely unlucky run of inactivity, which will now extend into the holiday season.

Despite the absences of James Maddison and Micky van de Ven, there is still reason for optimism.

And we believe Postecoglou will make three changes as Tottenham attempts to recover.

Spurs do have some minor injury concerns ahead of Sunday’s top-five clash. Destiny Udogie withdrew from Italy’s squad before the break due to a muscle injury sustained in a game against Fulham last month.

Furthermore, despite returning to the bench against Ukraine, Guglielmo Vicario missed Italy’s game against North Macedonia last week due to flu symptoms.

The action begins in the middle of the field.

Although Yves Bissouma’s one-game yellow card suspension comes at an inconvenient time, it may pave the way for an exciting new-look Spurs midfield.

Rodrigo Bentancur and Giovani Lo Celso could both get rare starts.

Bentancur has been gradually improving his fitness while earning £27 million. Last night, Lo Celso was outstanding for Argentina against Brazil.

So, while Maddison and Bissouma are out, it’s an opportunity for others to step up.

Postecoglou will be thrilled for Bentancur to get his chance, as he is a player who wants to start even when all are available.

Of course, if either remains on the bench, Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg will almost certainly keep his spot.

Spurs’ offense appears set to remain unchanged.

Son Heung-Min is still on fire, and Brennan Johnson looks sharp and eager to make an impression.

Aston Villa will be a tough test for Postecoglou’s Tottenham team, but a victory would be a huge statement after a difficult few weeks.
