Nottingham Forest is interested in signing Werder Bremen striker Marvin Ducksch for around £13 million.

The 29-year-old has five goals and three assists in the Bundesliga so far, with Bremen currently in 12th place.

According to Bild, Steve Cooper’s side are’red hot’ on signing the German, with the club dissatisfied with Divock Origi’s impact.

Ducksch has 14 goals in 2023, which is second only to Harry Kane and fellow Forest target Serhou Guirassy in the Bundesliga.

Ducksch is wanted by Nottingham Forest.
With Taiwo Awoniyi’s injury woes and the striker’s trip to the AFCON in January, the Reds are looking for another striker to fill the void.

This summer, Bremen sold fellow striker Niclas Fullkrug to Borussia Dortmund in an attempt to raise funds to help balance the books.

However, the club is still losing money, and Forest is hoping to capitalize with a deal worth around £13 million.

According to Bild, Ducksch would be interested in a move to the City Ground, with the 29-year-old wanting to play in the Premier League.

Would Ducksch be a good addition?
Ducksch, who made his Germany debut during the international break, has the pedigree of a potential striker Forest should target.

He has a very credible goalscoring record at a club that is struggling both on and off the field, and Ducksch could be available for a bargain.

Despite having three players on the pitch, Forest appear to have the least depth in the striking department.

With Awoniyi off to AFCON, Chris Wood out of contract at the end of the season, and Origi only on loan, Cooper must look to strengthen in January.
