Las Vegas practiced without three starters on Wednesday, but all three were limited on Thursday.
Kolton Miller (shoulder), Dylan Parham (calf), and Amik Robertson (concussion) were all limited in practice on Thursday.
The Raiders also elevated Adam Butler (knee), Divine Deablo (ankle), and Nate Hobbs (ankle) from limited to full participants. After missing practice yesterday, linebacker Curtis Bolton (illness) was a full participant today.
Other injury statuses remained unchanged.
According to Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Las Vegas Raiders cornerback Amik Robertson left Sunday’s game against the New York Jets with an apparent head injury and is now in the league’s concussion protocol.
Robertson was hurt on the first play of the second quarter when he tackled Jets running back Breece Hall. Hall attempted to hurdle Robertson, and the running back’s knee collided with the cornerback’s helmet, knocking the latter out cold as he lay on the ground in a fencing pose.
Along with Robertson, the Raiders were missing left tackle Kolton Miller Miller (shoulder) and starting guard Dylan Parham (calf) at practice on Wednesday. Miller did not play in the Jets game. All three of these injuries will be closely monitored over the next few days.
The Raiders did receive some good injury news on Wednesday, as fullback Jakob Johnson returned to full practice after missing the previous two games due to a concussion. So he appears to be on his way to playing for Miami.
To play again, Robertson must go through the NFL’s five-step concussion protocol clearance process. This calls his availability for Sunday’s game against the Miami Dolphins into question, as very few players have suffered a concussion and played the following week this season. As of last December, the median time a player was in concussion protocol was nine days, according to Sharp Football Analysis.
Jakorian is a rookie. Bennett ended up taking over for Robertson for the rest of the game, and Bennett will most likely be the starting quarterback next season.
However, the Raiders recently claimed cornerback Jack Jones off waivers from the New England Patriots and have Tyler Hall as a reserve cornerback if they decide to go another route. Hall is more of a nickel corner, but if the coaching staff chooses to promote Hall over Bennett, Nate Hobbs has experience out wide.
Meanwhile, safety Roderic Teamer’s return from injured reserve has a 21-day window. If he is activated, he could play this week. He’s been out for the past four games due to a hamstring injury.
