City’s number 23 spoke about the team’s much-needed win at Swindon Town.

Taylor played the entire 90 minutes as City earned three points in the final game of their Bristol Street Motors Trophy campaign, with an early goal proving decisive.

“A good result, and something to build on.” We started really well in the first 20 minutes, but then we lost control.” Taylor elaborated.

“It’s important to know when to control and when to penetrate, that’s something we could have done more of in terms of positioning towards the end of the first-half.”

“A few young lads came in and I think they did really well… and a clean sheet is always a positive.”

Gary Caldwell celebrates a significant victory at Swindon

Gary Caldwell has responded to City’s crucial win over Swindon Town in the Bristol Street Motors Trophy.

Yanic Wildschut’s first goal for the club in the sixth minute was enough to give the club its first win in all competitions since September 26th.

“I said to the players that regardless of the team Swindon pick, winning is important and winning is a habit,” Gary was quoted as saying.

“We had lost in recent weeks and needed to break that habit.” We started really well and could have scored a few early goals because we were on the offensive.

“We slowed down towards the end of the first half and then controlled the game in the second half.”
