Parkinson provides an injury update following the Bromley draw, including information on Aaron Hayden and Rob Lainton.

Following Saturday’s goalless draw with Bromley, Wrexham AFC manager Phil Parkinson provided a mixed injury update.

At Hayes Lane, defender Aaron Hayden was replaced at halftime, while goalkeeper Rob Lainton left the field on a stretcher during the second half, having suffered similar misfortune in the same game last season.

In his post-match interview, Parkinson said of the duo, “We think Rob has broken his wrist, which would be a real blow for him and for us.”

“I just went into the locker room and haven’t seen him, so I’m assuming he’s gone to the hospital.” That is unfortunate.

“Aaron hasn’t been feeling well in the build-up; we gave him some meds and he felt okay this morning but felt he couldn’t continue at half-time.”

The Red Dragons’ unbeaten run in all competitions now stands at eight games, with two home games against Halifax Town and Dover Athletic coming up next week.

ADDED: March 21, 2022:

Rob Lainton suffered a fracture and dislocation at Bromley and will undergo surgery on Wednesday, according to the Club. Everyone at the Club wishes Rob a speedy recovery.
