Tennessee’s Nashville (AP) — The Nashville Predators defeated the Colorado Avalanche 4-3 thanks to goals from Filip Forsberg twice and Yakov Trenin with 21.6 seconds left.

Juuse Saros made 25 saves and Jeremy Lauzon added a goal as Nashville won two straight.

Colorado, which had lost its previous three games, was led by Cale Makar with three assists, Andrew Cogliano, Devon Toews, and Valerie Nichushkin with a goal and an assist.

Nathan MacKinnon contributed two assists, and Alexandar Georgiev made 27 saves.

Addie Wilhoit, a freshman at Tennessee High, made clutch free throws with the game on the line.

In the opening round of the Hardee’s Classic in Jonesborough, the Vikings defeated South Greene 62-58 thanks to a 12-for-12 performance from the charity stripe, which included four foul shots in the closing seconds of overtime.

After avenging its lone loss of the year, THS (3-1) will take on Lakeway Christian Academy in a semifinal match on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

For Tennessee High, Anna Kate Kinch contributed seven more rebounds, and Janell Tabor pulled down six rebounds and blocked three shots. In addition, Chase Wolfenbarger pulled down six rebounds.

With a 14-2 run to end the first half, the Vikings led 30-19 at the half.

With 17 points, Emma Cutshall led South Green.
