Even though reports indicate John McGinn should be fine, he hobbled off during Scotland’s draw with Norway at Hampden Park and is doubtful for the trip to Tottenham.

Though it is unclear how fit he will be, he is anticipated to contribute when they go to Tottenham this week.

But after the game, he felt well enough to talk to the media. Birminghammail.co.uk quotes him saying, “It’s been an incredible campaign. The boys’ handling of it has me incredibly proud. The nation is extremely proud of our team and its players, and I believe that was evident in the outcome.

“I think the punters were a bit surprised we had actually qualified, it had a strange atmosphere, but it’s hopefully one we can get used to.”

Before the international break, Tottenham had lost their previous two games. They will be up against a formidable opponent when they host Aston Villa at home.

In addition, James Maddison and Micky van de Ven are sidelined for the Lilywhites. However, they will be hoping that Destiny Udogie returns after serving his suspension for his sending-off against Chelsea.

Spurs will also be without Yves Bissouma, who has received too many yellow cards and will now miss the match.
