Jamie Robinson, the first team coach at Nottingham Forest, has confirmed his departure from Steve Cooper’s backroom staff.
Jamie Robinson, the first team coach at Nottingham Forest, has left the club after 15 months.
After five years working together at the Football Association, the 51-year-old was lured to Forest by head coach Steve Cooper in the summer of 2022.
He was an important component of the coaching team as Forest regained Premier League status last summer, their first season back in the top division in almost two decades.

Robinson has now gone to start his own coaching consultancy, where he will work with coaches from other clubs to help them develop professionally. His responsibilities at Forest included coach development, and he has held comparable positions with the FA and PFA.
“I’ve had a fantastic experience at Forest,” Robinson said to Training Ground Guru. “It was fantastic to be a part of the coaching staff that kept the club in the Premier League for the first time in 23 years, ahead of Leeds United and Leicester City.”
“I’m very proud of that accomplishment, and the entire coaching staff should be as well.” Now that I’m on my own, I’m focused on assisting coaches improve. My approach has always been to put myself in their position and adopt a comprehensive approach.”
