In a statement on Kemar Roofe’s injury, newly appointed Rangers manager Philippe Clement resumed his candid discussion of the team’s fitness problems.

Prior to Hearts’ Scottish Premiership match, the Belgian boss has stated that the Jamaican international is once again sidelined by injury.

Kemar Roofe has only appeared in 88 games throughout his three and a half years in Glasgow, and Philippe Clement has hinted that he may be facing yet another extended injury layoff.

Philippe Clement has grown weary of Kemar Roofe’s cameo appearances throughout his Rangers career, questioning the hasty comebacks that have seen the striker return on occasion.

Clement stated, “Kemar won’t be available for the weekend, for sure.” He’s been having trouble with the same issues for a while now, so we should probably rebuild in the coming weeks and give it a serious examination.

“Rather than always finding a method to make him healthy for the next game only to have him struggle for the next and go game by game, it’s crucial to figure out why that is happening. We must truly identify the root of the issue.

Though I’m not a doctor, I can perform a lot of things. Regarding that, I have nothing to say.

“First and foremost, we must thoroughly evaluate the best course of action for bringing Kemar back in a way that will be long-term rather than temporary.

In order to get him ready for games, that has been the situation for the past few months, but he has been having difficulty in between. Therefore, we must get him in great shape.

In the Kemar Roofe update, Philippe Clement alludes to a larger Rangers injury culture.
Kemar Roofe’s injury concerns are only one of several significant conditioning issues Philippe Clement has had with the Rangers.

Over the past two seasons, injuries have decimated Rangers, and it is no exaggeration to suggest that this has had a major effect on the team’s pursuit of championships.

High earner Kemar Roofe, who reportedly cost £4.5 million, is now more likely to depart the team without making the impact his talent demands.

With Filip Helander making a comeback for the Swedish national team, there are concerns that we may witness a replay of this with former Derby County captain Tom Lawrence. This is a tale that is becoming more and more regular at Ibrox.

According to reports, the 13 absences we’ve already had this season have pushed the club to take action, and the hiring of a top-tier head of performance is on the horizon.
