According to Suns coach Frank Vogel, guard Devin Booker of the Phoenix Suns has not been ruled out of the team’s game on Saturday against the top team in the NBA, the Boston Celtics.
Against the Houston Rockets this past weekend, Booker sprained his right ankle. Vogel stated Booker is “day-to-day” in response to a question regarding the progress of his starting shooting guard and four-time All-Star.
Thursday night at home against the Toronto Raptors, the Suns will play without Booker for the third straight game. Vogel stated that Josh Okogie (lower abdominal strain) and Nassir Little (left knee inflammation), who had missed the previous four games due to injury, are also day-to-day for the Wings.
Phoenix is aiming for its second consecutive victory after an exciting road game in overtime against the Denver Nuggets. The Suns prevailed 117-107, led by Kevin Durant’s 35 points. In overtime, Durant and Bradley Beal, the guard for the Suns, combined for 13 of the team’s 15 points.
This season, Booker was designated as an All-Star reserve. He is averaging 27.5 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 6.8 assists, which ranks him 11th in the league.
The majority of the 27-year-old’s ninth NBA season has been spent as the Suns’ point guard. Without a player who is regarded as authentic to the position, Phoenix claims to have a multiple ball-handler scheme and is depending on Booker and Beal to man the point guard position.
Many people rank Booker among the NBA’s top ten players. The Ringer selected him for that position throughout the preseason.
Many people consider Booker to be the best player on the Suns for the last three and a half years. During that time, the team made it to the 2021 NBA Finals, won 64 games, and forced a Game 6 against the Denver Nuggets, the reigning NBA champions, in the 2023 playoffs.
