Bronco is on the verge of joining a different team.

It is acknowledged that conversations have been taking on behind closed doors.
After being considered by a number of teams, Brisbane Broncos back Tristan Sailor is very close to signing with Leigh Leopards of the Super League.

The 25-year-old, who had a protracted absence from the game towards the end of his tenure at the Dragons due to off-field issues, is still bound to Red Hill for the upcoming year.

He took advantage of his QLD Cup form and played a few games for the Broncos when Reece Walsh was sidelined when he was given the chance to play at the first-grade level.

He gave a fantastic performance in the club’s Round 13 debut, and he even outperformed himself in the last regular season match.

.After multiple publications, such as Rugby League Live, revealed that he had been offered to several Super League clubs and was on their radar, Sailor is close to signing with the Leigh Leopards as his contract saga comes to a close, per Yorkshire Live.

It is acknowledged that conversations have been taking on behind closed doors.

He will be coached by Adrian Lam at the Leopards, where he will be reunited with former Sydney Roosters playmaker Lachlan Lam and overseas quota players Tom Amone, John Asiata, Edwin Ipape, Ricky Leutele, Matt Moylan, Ben Nakubuwai, and Kai O’Donnell. The move is expected to be announced soon.

Following Sailor’s July contract extension signing, Broncos coach Kevin Walters called him a “real footballer.”

Walters stated, “Since joining us at the beginning of the preseason, Tristan has been really impressive. He is a real footballer and he has worked hard and is now reaping the rewards for that dedication.”

“He has been playing some amazing football in the Cup, and he has also stepped up when we needed him in first grade, performing admirably for his team.”

“It’s just a really good news story; he brings a lot to the group off the field, and I’m sure his dad (Wendell) and his entire family will be filled with pride that he is carrying on their legacy here at the Broncos.”
