Unbelievably pathetic, Billy Napier remarks that he doesn’t want to lose.
Billy Napier, the football coach at Florida, made an extremely pitiful remark while the Gators seemed to be heading straight for catastrophe.
The Utah Utes put a lot of pressure on Napier and the Gators early in the season, and now they are winless.
It’s possible that fans no longer have the hope and optimism they did before the season started. Napier is currently 6-8 after 14 Gainesville games. It’s a poor scenario that seems certain to get worse.
Fans don’t need to worry, though, as Billy Napier wants them to know that he’s “committed” to not letting dominance become the norm.
Regarding his terrible record and the status of the programme, Napier declared, “I’m committed to not getting used to it” (via SI.com).
Billy Napier muses on his horrible performance at Florida.
Issue resolved. Billy Napier is “not getting used to” being an extremely poor squad with little resiliency. Does that alleviate everyone’s discomfort?
It most certainly shouldn’t. It is impossible to interpret this comment in a favourable light. The guy is talking about not growing accustomed to losing despite having only six victories in his last 14 games.
It’s obvious you don’t believe what you’re selling if you have to say something like that out loud. All you’re doing is attempting to talk yourself out of it.
Would Nick Saban ever have to argue that losing can’t be the standard? Naturally, no. It’s simply understood.
Something like this doesn’t need to be said, or at least it shouldn’t be spoken.
It looks like Florida will have a very difficult year. If Napier doesn’t have this resolved as quickly as possible, it will be unbearably hot in his seat. For now, simply know that he’s “committed” to preventing the programme from turning into a farce.
