The Eagles’ preparation will not change this week, according to Nick Sirianni, and he believes fans will bring the Beat Dallas energy.

The Eagles are deep into preparation for their Week 9 matchup against the Cowboys, and head coach Nick Sirianni spoke to reporters on Wednesday about how they can’t let the energy of Beat Dallas week distract them, as well as how they must beat Micah Parsons in different ways.

The following is what the head coach had to say:

Sirianni believes the quarterback is playing excellent football, with accurate throws and big-time throws in crucial situations. They aren’t thinking about how Hurts is on pace to set a career high in several areas of the passing game this season, but they are pleased with his development.

“Every day must be treated the same. You can’t get more pumped for one game than the next. I believe if I told the fans and the media, ‘It’s Cowboy week, we’re going to crank it up!’ So, what the hell were we doing the last few weeks? ‘Well, that’s why you lost to the Jets,’ you’d say. I’d never do it — so we know how awesome it is.”

Sirianni, on the other hand, mentioned that they know how much energy the stadium will have on Sunday, and that every bit counts — which is why he thanks fans at road games, because it makes a difference.

“I want it played up in that way, but for us to do it.”

Anything else would indicate that I am not doing my job for the first eight weeks of the season. But I’m grateful to be a part of this rivalry game. I’m grateful to the players and coaches who have coached and played it in the past. “I am very honoured to be a part of this rivalry game.”
However, for the coaches and players, there may be something extra motivating every week, so all they have to do is stick to their routine and ignore the distractions. Sirianni, on the other hand, was emphatic that he wanted the fans to bring the energy to The Linc on Sunday.

He went on to say that Tyler Steen performed “pretty well” in the few snaps he was given, noting that the lineman held his own against Jonathan Allen and Darron Payne.LB for the Cowboys “He’s awesome,” says Micah Parsons. He’s truly exceptional. One of our league’s best players. So we’ll have to make sure he’s accounted for on every single play, because I think the only thing I can say about him is that he’s awesome.

So we have some really good players up front as well. We’ll have to win in a variety of ways against him to keep him out of the stat book and relatively quiet. But, given how good they are, this is easier said than done.

When asked about Nolan Smith, Sirianni stated that the rookie is currently in a deep room. Smith contributes on special teams, and there isn’t as much rotation at edge rusher on defence, especially with Josh Sweat and Haason Reddick playing so well.
The head coach spent time defending Kenny Gainwell as the Eagles’ No. 2 back, explaining that they don’t drop players in the depth chart because of mistakes, and that the running back has earned his position.

“He’s our number two right now because we believe it.” He’s our team’s second-best running back. That is based on video games. That is based on previous games. That is based on experience. That’s

Sirianni explained that they haven’t done much with the run game in recent weeks because they’ve been successful in the passing game and have needed to use that type of offence. It’s something he said would happen on a weekly basis, and if they have to throw it 50 times or run it 50 times in a game, they’ll do whatever it takes to win.
