Texas’s Austin The president of the University of Texas at Austin was alerted to the viral response of an 11-year-old following the football team’s success in the College Football Playoffs.

Knox Kendall, a sixth-grader, cries out in pride when he sees a Texas Longhorn. That being said, he was born into an Aggie household. At the age of three, Knox was fascinated about the squad in burnt orange and even wore an A&M maroon onesie when he returned from the hospital.

When my father finally stated, “That’s the enemy,” I liked the enemy and they were unable to stop it ever since, Knox Kendall said.

At first, this went against what his parents wanted.

As really good parents, as Aggie parents, but if we’re really good parents, we won’t be angry with him for being a Longhorn. However, as Knox’s mother Brittany Kendall said, “getting him stuff was like next level and to encourage it is the next level, but he was destined for it.”

Knox broke down in tears upon learning that the Texas Longhorns were going to the College Football Playoffs.

My thoughts were racing, saying things like, “We’re in, this place can’t be taken from us, it’s locked, it’s good,” Knox remarked.

His parents were encouraging.

“I am a completely maroon Aggie, but I am balling my eyes out because I’m so happy for him and for his team and all that this means to him,” Kendall stated.

The posted video received thousands of views, and even caught the attention of the University president. “I’m going to put that as a supplemental part of his application,” Kendall said. The
