WHAT OCCURED? Speaking to the KCStar on Friday, Sporting’s manager elaborated on the match’s anticipation and how his team is preparing for the intense playoff clash that awaits them.
“It’s going to be a battle,” Vermes predicted. “The game will be a battle because they have a really, really good team.” We’re up against the best team in the league, so we have to bring our A-game. I’m not sure they have to be, and that’s the distinction.”
“They come out and play a very aggressive, high-pressing style,” Vermes added. They do it. Everyone is aware of it. This is nothing new. So I fully anticipate them doing the same thing here.”
